The project is all about building awareness about the true meaning of Natura 2000 area of Pohorje to the key targets groups (key participants):
- Forest owners, farm land owners and leasers
- Municipalities
- Professional organizations (Slovenia forest service, Alpine Association of Slovenia, Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation)
- Local activity groups and regional development agencies
- Agencies offering outdoor activities
- Non-governmental organizations (hunting associations, tourist, hiking and alpine associations etc.)
- Primary and secondary schools
- General public and national institutions
Results
By planting these three tree species the nutritional base for capercaillie and black grouse has grown significantly and enables better conditions for the preservation of these two animals.
